Eric is the founding principal of CDC, establishing the firm in 1995. He has more than 30 years experience in urban design, city and small town redevelopment, and a variety of construction projects. His project management experience extends over 20 years across a wide range of programs, budgets and project types.
Eric's professional experience in the private sector includes built work in cities across the United States. Throughout his career, Eric has focused on integrating sustainable design practices and forms into the urban context - some of the memorable he has been involved with include Seattle's I-5 Colonnade Park, the Seattle Veteran's Memorial Plaza, the Seattle Zoo, and the FDR Memorial in Washington D.C.
In the public sector, Eric was the Director of Downtown Planning and Urban Design for the Boston Redevelopment Authority for eight years. Projects included the Central Artery Air Rights Plan, New Boston Garden, Boston Federal Courthouse, South STation Intermodal Facility, the Boston Inner Harbor Plan, and several zoning and urban design plans. Eric's involvement with the Central Artery Air RIghts Plan earned him a national AIA Urban Design Award of Excellence and Progressive Architecture's Urban Design Award.
