Tremont Street Widening,
Port Orchard,
WA
CDC is working closely with Berger/ABAM Engineers and the City of Port Orchard in developing plans for this ¾ mile long road widening and pedestrian/bicycle improvement project. The project proposes to widen the existing Tremont Street to provide four continuous lanes between Port Orchard Boulevard and State Route 16, eliminating the traffic “bottleneck” and providing safer non-motorized travel.
Low Impact Development (LID) features are being considered to mitigate increased stormwater runoff. CDC led the community participation workshop and city design charrette and is involved in providing LID strategies, gateway and landscape design.
