Muckleshoot Phillip Starr Building,
Muckleshoot Tribe, WA

CDC designed the landscape, irrigation, entry plaza, courtyard, parking lot and perimeter for the new Natural Resources Facility that houses the Tribe’s Fisheries, Wildlife and Policy Departments.

CDC integrated the detention facilities with the use of native and drought tolerant plants. Native plant species were used extensively throughout the site to draw a connection between the different natural resource departments and the environment as well as to minimize the long term need for water and maintenance. A 4,600 square foot courtyard serves as a central focal point for the building and connects the interior offices with the outdoors while providing natural light, a pleasant place to gather and a garden to view from the inside.
