CDC was selected to lead the urban design and route planning for the Seattle Monorail Project. Over a four year period and three affirmative public votes, CDC studied both station locations for neighborhood access and corridor locations for integration of Monorail technical specifications with the urban context it would travel through.

GIS , data analysis, urban design, transportation planning, street design, non-motorized planning and visual analysis tools were essential to the selection of the final routes and stations, which were approved.
