Kingston Learning Center Master Plan & Kingston High School,
North Kitsap School District,
Kingston,
WA
After CDC led the site master planning phase for the 200 acre Kingston Learning Campus, CDC continued as project landscape architect for the design of the new Kingston High School. It sits on 62 acres of forest and wetland.
Outdoor spaces were designed to accommodate both high school and community use. The central courtyard functions as an extension of the Commons and includes an amphitheater. Outdoor learning stations are linked to inter-campus trails that traverse a diversity of habitat types. A suite of athletic fields were designed as teaching stations and competition fields.
