Kas Kinkead, president of Cascade Design Collaborative, delivered a thought-provoking lecture describing school campus stormwater solutions at the Sustainability Ambassador’s spring 2015 SustainabilityTALKS conference.
Bringing the community to the classroom, SustainabilityTALKS are given by field experts plus exceptional student speakers on a new topic each year. They’re designed to inspire and inform learning from middle school to graduate school. Filmed before a live student audience during a regular school day at Liberty High School in the Issaquah School District, SustainabilityTALKS are presented as a 45-minute assembly offered in clusters three times during the day. Interested teachers sign up to bring their students for the class period that works best for them. A different set of speakers is featured each period resulting in an online library of multiple stories.
